Three Bean Casserole Jeffrey T. Kastner | August 12, 2011 Ingredients 1 pound Nueske’s bacon 1 pound ground buffalo (or beef) 1 large yellow onion, chopped 2-16oz. cans baked beans 1-16oz. can kidney beans 1-16oz. can northern white beans 1 large green bell pepper, chopped 1/2 cup ketchup 1/2 cup unsulfured molasses 2 tbsp salted butter 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp onion powder 1 tsp chili powder 1 tsp paprika 1 garlic clove, finely chopped 3/4 cup brown sugar 1 tsp dry mustard 1 tbsp ground thyme 1/2 tsp of cinnamon 1/2 tsp of nutmeg 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar 1 tsp salt 1 tsp coarsely ground black pepper Directions Chop bacon slices into one inch pieces and cook in a large deep skillet, until evenly brown. Remove to a large pot and set aside. In same skillet, brown beef and onion. Drain fat. Place beef mixture into the pot and stir in the rest of ingredients over medium heat. Mix well. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Cover and bake in the oven ½ – 1 hour.
