Go Back Button Jeffrey T. Kastner | May 20, 2013 Create a Go Back Button in a few simple steps. There isn’t an option to add a ‘Go Back’ button using your normal Weebly element, that would allow users to go back to the previous page. But you can do this with Custom HTML. Go Back not active <button onclick="history.go(-1);">Go Back</button> = Go Back You can also change your buttons text, so if you don’t want it to say ‘Go Back‘ you can change it to ‘Last Page‘ Simply copy and paste the HTML code and paste it into a custom HTML element. EXAMPLE: Style your Button With a little customization you can even use the buttons built into your theme. Here’s a screenshot of the buttons your website’s theme might use. Go Back Get Code ►Go Back Get Code ►Go Back Get Code ►Go Back Get Code ►Try it Go Here to test the ‘Back Button’ simply visit the link, then use the ‘Go back‘ button to return to this page. How can I remove these and what is the proper method? Please send reply to terry@aatechs.com Thanks Reply Jeffrey Kastner says: September 17, 2014 at 11:09 am Hi Terry, When you say that the original was stuck on the page, it sounds like you are referring to the landing page button. The header image area of the landing page page type always contains a button. If you need help with that, please see: https://www.jeffreytkastner.com/blog/landing-page-button-removal If you have embedded your code in one of the standard button elements, you would want to delete that code from that button, In this case, instead of adding your code to a button you would use the embed code element to add the custom code. As I have noted above, in this blog post. If you need help with the embed code element please see: http://hc.weebly.com/hc/en-us/articles/201740213-Add-Widgets-Videos-and-Other-Content-by-Embedding-Code If you’re still having troubles, can you please provide an example so I can check it what you’ve done. It’s 7 years later and Weebly has still not addressed this issue, which is unfortunate. Huge, simple, beneficial solution…Thx again (in 2021!)
